Embroidery Kit Product Summary

Kissbuty Stamped Embroidery Kit

Great starter kit for a smaller budget that includes everything you need to learn the craft and create one hoop of art. The kit includes a bamboo embroidery hoop, different color threads, one embroidery cloth with printed pattern, embroidery needles, and a one page sheet of instructions.

Caydo Full Range of Embroidery Starter Kit

This is the most comprehensive kit in this review with a full rainbow of colored thread and a small arsenal of embroidery tools at your disposal.

Included in the kit are 5 bamboo embroidery hoops, 50 color threads, 2 white cotton aidas in 14-count fabric, 12 floss bobbins, 30 embroidery needles in 3 sizes, 4 crossstitch needle-threading tools, a pair of scissors, a thimble, an untwist tool and instructions.

Extra bonus: this kit comes with its own carrying bag which we love. Unlike all the other kits, however, there are no printed patterns included. This allows for creative freedom, but you will have to hunt down some online or in a craft store.

Caydo Sets of 3 Embroidery Starter Kit

This mid-range priced kit is great for beginners that don't want to stop with just one pattern. The kit includes a white, black, and dark blue pattern of different flowering plants.

Also included are 2 embroidery hoops at 6.3 inches and one 7.9 inch embroidery hoop, 3 sets soft embroidery threads, 6 embroidery needles, a pair of scissors, and instructions.

Three-Pack Embroidery Starter Kit

Another three-pack kit that includes all the same as the Caydo 3-pack kit, but with different colors. If the earth tones and cactuses of the desert are more your speed than this kit is for you. The cactus pattern is one of our favorites of the bunch!

Artilife Embroidery Kit

This kit includes all the things you need to create one hoop of embroidery art. What sets this kit apart from the others is the trendy word art on some of the available patterns. At a low price point, you could have all the materials to create that slightly off-color crossstitch you have seen in your Pinterest feeds. It adorable for the right crafter.

Things We Didn't Liked

  • Kit is fantastic for creating the three patterns included but doesn't offer much in learning or materials for future projects.
  • Some crafters may feel stifled by the rigidness of the project because there isn't any room for interpretation with color or design.
  • The darker canvas can transfer color to fingers or thread.

  • The patterns include fun and trendy phrases. All of the other kits just had flower patterns.
  • Complete kit to create the desired final product including all materials laid out specifically.

Things We Didn't Liked

  • There is only one pattern and one completed project. Not bad for the price point, but you would have to invest more if you fell in the love with the art form.
  • Some of the patterns to choose from have swear words. This doesn't bother us in particular, but parents should be careful before getting for a minor or for someone who is offended by swear words.
  • Instructions were not easy to follow.

Our Favorite Embroidery Kit

For the money, Caydo Full Range of Embroidery Starter Kit is your best bet for a comprehensive kit to get started on embroidery projects. It provides the most materials and the most creative freedom. Plus, all items can be easily stored in the included bag.

While the printed-on patterns that the other kits had can be great for getting started on the process, we feel like it takes away from some of the fun and creativity of the art. The Caydo Full Range of Embroidery Starter Kit allows you to go and choose a pattern that you are really excited about, rather than utilize a paint-by-numbers kind of project.

This of course is our personal pick. Any of the embroidery kits would be fantastic to get started. Falling in love with the craft and art of the project is the most rewarding part, no matter how you get started.
