For a while now, since I discovered the benefits of drinking lemon water I have been drinking it…well almost every day. I have noticed a difference in my life and I thought I should share with you.
How you start your day as a mom, usually determines how your day will go. Something as simple as drinking lemon water can make a significant difference in your life.
I would like to share with you 6 reasons and benefits why you should incorporate drinking a mug of warm water and the juice of half a lemon into your morning routine.

Lemons are acidic in nature but inside our bodies they become alkaline. Having an alkaline body is the key to good health. When the body is in an acidic state it is more susceptible to diseases. Drinking lemon water regularly can help to remove overall acidity in the body and improve your health.

The recipe is very simple. Just squeeze half a lemon into a mug/cup of warm boiled water and drink first thing in the morning before eating any other thing.
It is better to use warm and not cold water so your body can process the drink faster. Also try and buy organic lemons and do not use bottled lemon juice.
The only disadvantage I know with drinking lemon water is that the citric acid in it can erode tooth enamel, so it is best to brush your teeth first before drinking lemon water. Also you could use a straw to drink your lemon water.
Try this drink for a month and notice the difference it will make to your body and ultimately your day.
